After graduating from medical school in 2007, I spent 2 years as an extern at Pacific Hospital of Long Beach (since changed its name to College Hospital),  an American Osteopathic Association- approved residency program Hospital.  I spent 2 years as an extern in this American Osteopathic Association- approved residency program. Even though I had tutored a good portion of my life, I started to tutor on a professional full-time basis in 2009.  I do not have a teaching credential, nor do I need or want one, the same way a professor with a graduate degree does not need a teaching credential to teach at the university level.  I have a doctorate degree and years of experience teaching and learning.  To be exact, I have over 15 years of education after high school. Some parents want me to emphasize my teaching style towards the common core, while others want me to stay clear away from it. The latter might be hard to do as so much of the teaching has common core interwound these days and it’s hard for me to differentiate between the two at times.  I try to use as many different ways of teaching that i can,  so the student can really understand the material and excel.
